“The church is not the church unless it exists for others.”
Our faith is reflected in the way we respond to our call to be the love of God in the world.
Who we are, what we have, and what we can do all play an important role in our service to God and others.
We ask “What can we do next?” as we consider Micah’s question,
What does the Lord require of you
but to do justice,
to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
Our mission efforts currently support a number of local organizations:
Serving dinner at the Hope Center on the first Thursday of each month and preparing and serving a dinner during Christmas
Ringing bells to raise funds for Salvation Army programs during the Christmas
Singing at local nursing homes and the Veteran’s Hospital
Collecting donations of clothing, toys and electronics for the community of Phelps, Kentucky
Supporting Greenhouse 17 (formerly the Bluegrass Domestic Violence Center) with collection of supplies and providing a picnic dinner in July
Gathering food and household supplies for residents of Westminster Village
